Science Applied to Your Swing!

C.O.D.E. is a COGNITIVE OCCLUSION DISTRACTION ENVIRONMENT, designed to effect, affect, or nurture the hitter. C.O.D.E hitting is a different deal! This means that unlike t-work, or most other hitter tools, HittersCODE keeps drilling. learning. Drilling for the HittersCODE.

What do we mean by drilling? If Baseball is 90% mental, we are drilling down to the hitters’ inner processing unit, to enable him to find or make his way.

HittersCODE is born of new sciences, and breaks the mold. Pre 1990, KC decided he wanted to have impact on as many young hitters as possible, while doing something truly unique. After years of imagination, creativity, research, emails, many phone calls and in-person conversations we are ready to present HittersCODE.

1st call – Joey Myers

I read about Joey before I had the opportunity to speak w him back around 2013. We had very similar outlooks and insights about hitting. One of many topics we discussed was the idea that we are both tired of the endless conversations about who is right and who is wrong on the topic of hitting. Joey was first, but we came to the agreement that turning this over to the newest / oldest sciences might be the right idea. Through Joey, my eyes were opened and he introduced me to Dr. Fadde, Perry Husband,So, we did.

SCIENCE WAS RIGHT!

2nd call made – “My research uses video-computer technology based on the methods used in sports science laboratories to TEST and TRAIN pitch recognition. I also adapt standard batting cage and bullpen stand-in drills to transfer computer skills to batting skills.”

After serving 13 seasons as video coordinator for a BCS football program, Dr. Fadde earned his PhD. in Instructional Research and Design from Purdue University in 2002. His dissertation research involved training baseball pitch recognition using methods derived from expert-novice research. Dr. Fadde is now an associate professor and Coordinator of the Learning Systems Design and Technology (LSDT) graduate program at Southern Illinois University. He continues to conduct research on the training of expert performance in multiple domains including military and sports. Website: peterfadde. com

“You’re doing the same thing we’re doing at Gamesense. The only difference is that you’re using real balls, and real bats, in real space, and no one is wearing anything on their face. I like it.”

HOW WE MET: I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Dr. Bill back in ’17. He was highly complimentary of the the system and it’s applications. When I showed him the product, be said,

“This what I was thinking of when I first started vision training. This is what’s next.”

The Human Performance Optimization Laboratory (OptiLab) is an applied cognitive neuroscience lab, led by Dr. Greg Appelbaum. that researches innovative approaches for accelerating learning.

“I can see it now. Can you make this happen at our spring training?”

“This makes me have to stay back. Can’t be cheatin in here!”

“This place keeps hitters engaged. There will be no going through the motions here.”

“This isn’t one tool. It’s like six!”

“I Like it because there are there so many of our hitters that this would fix their isssues “

“It’s like a flight simulator for your swing.”

“One swing in here is like 100 in regular batting practise.”
